Vobble is designed with children’s safety and privacy at its core. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and take multiple steps to prevent the collection, storage, or sharing of children’s personal information.
6.1 Parental Consent:
Children cannot access Create, Play, Explore, or VOIP features until a parent or guardian provides verifiable parental consent. Without consent, children can only use the Listen feature, which requires no personal data.
6.2 Preventing Collection of Personal InformationWe employ defense-in-depth safeguards to prevent the collection of personally identifiable information (PII):
Flash Create:- Freeform mic and image inputs are screened using OpenAI Moderation APIs.
- Story text and image outputs are also moderated before being delivered to the child.
Create Studio:- Inputs are guided by an AI agent designed with prompt engineering to avoid PII and unsafe content
- Inappropriate image uploads are immediately rejected using moderation tools.
- Audio inputs are steered by the AI agent to avoid inappropriate or identifying details.
- All outputs are engineered to automatically screen out PII and explicit content.
Explore:- Children may ask freeform questions, but AI agents are restricted to safe-topic knowledge bases and reinforced with prompt engineering to keep discussions appropriate.
- Agents cannot discuss or request PII. All responses are filtered through these constraints before display.
6.3 Monitoring and Review
- Automated moderation is applied at both input and output stages to prevent inappropriate or identifying content from entering the system.
- Periodic human safety reviews are conducted on flagged cases to validate that safeguards are effective and to address edge cases missed by automated filters.
6.4 Data Minimization and Retention
We minimize the amount of data collected and limit how long it is retained:
- Voice recordings and photos are deleted automatically within 30days.
- Transcripts are deleted no later than 12 months after the discontinuation of the service, or sooner if requested by a parent.
- VOIP live audio is never stored.
- VOIP metadata (call duration, time, participant IDs) may be retained for up to 12 months post-discontinuation, then permanently deleted.
- No persistent child identifiers (such as name, email, or address) are collected.

We minimize the amount of data collected and limit how long it is retained:
- No advertising is presented to children on the Vobble Device or Device App.

7. Parental Rights & Controls
Parents can:
- Restrict usage to Listen-only mode.
- Access or delete child data.
- Stop further collection.

8. Content Ownership & Permissions
- Vobble Content is owned/licensed by Avie Vinson Entertainment.
- User-Created Content remains the child’s property. Temporary copies may be retained for processing. External use requires explicit parental permission.
9. Data Security

- Encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256).
- Organizational safeguards include access controls, audit logs, and internal training.
While we use best practices, no method is 100% secure. Parents should supervise use.
10. Legal Basis
- COPPA: We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting child data.
